Office & Legal Coordinator, Geelong (Full time, Ongoing)

The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) has an opportunity to join our Geelong office as an Office & Legal Coordinator within our Trial Division, Legal Practice.

The Office & Legal Coordinator, Geelong works closely and collaboratively with the Legal Practice at the Geelong office and OPP Regional team, including the Trial Division Manager, Managing Principal Solicitors and Solicitors.

The position is based in Geelong however, travel to both Melbourne and regional areas may be required.

About the Role:

  • Establish, implement and monitor effective, efficient and consistent administrative processes, standards and practices within the Trial Division.
  • Day to day coordination of the Legal Support team at Geelong to facilitate the provision of high level legal and administrative support to the Geelong team and broader Trial Division.
  • Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement within the Geelong Office, including active participation in projects, committees and working groups where appropriate.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and Excel, and computerised case management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in an environment of change, often with competing priorities.
