Description

This dynamic Family Law practice is looking for an experienced lawyer with 2-3 years PQE who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll be managing your own files and providing high quality advice on parenting arrangements, property settlements, and related family law matters. While you’ll work autonomously, you’ll have access to guidance and mentorship from a Senior Partner for more complex issues.

The role involves client consultations, preparation of court documents, drafting agreements, negotiation, and representation in mediations and court proceedings. You’ll contribute to a friendly, collaborative office culture where colleagues support each other and celebrate achievements together.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse family law caseload independently
• Advise clients on parenting, property, and related family law matters
• Draft agreements, court documents, and correspondence with a high level of accuracy
• Represent clients in mediations and court proceedings as required
• Collaborate with Senior Partner on complex matters while maintaining autonomy
• Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law

Candidate Requirements

• 2-3 years PQE in family law, with experience managing your own files
• Strong understanding of parenting and property law
• Excellent drafting, communication, and client service skills
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating on complex matters
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
