Boutique Specialist Family Law Practice
A highly regarded boutique family law practice in the Sydney CBD is seeking a Junior Family Lawyer and a Senior Family Lawyer to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a specialist family law environment, advising clients across a broad range of matters including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce, financial agreements and complex family law litigation.
You will be joining a supportive and collaborative team that is known for delivering high-quality legal work while maintaining a strong client-focused approach.
The Opportunity
- You will work across a variety of family law matters including:
- Parenting and child custody disputes
- Divorce and separation matters
- Property settlements and financial agreements
- Spousal maintenance matters
- Complex asset structures and high-value property matters
- Court proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
Junior Family Lawyer (1–3 PAE)
This role is ideal for a lawyer looking to build strong foundations in family law.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting senior lawyers on parenting and property matters
- Drafting court documents, affidavits and legal correspondence
- Conducting legal research and preparing briefs
- Attending mediations, client conferences and court appearances
- Supporting the progression of matters from commencement through to resolution
Senior Family Lawyer (4+ PAE)
This role suits an experienced lawyer looking to run matters with autonomy and contribute to the growth of the practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing your own family law caseload
- Appearing in court and attending mediations and settlement conferences
- Advising clients on complex parenting and property matters
- Mentoring junior lawyers within the team
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to the firm’s continued growth
About You
- Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia with a current practising certificate
- Experience in family law or a strong interest in specialising in family law
- Strong drafting, negotiation and client communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A collaborative and proactive approach to legal practice
- Work within a specialist family law practice
- Exposure to complex and high-quality family law matters
- Supportive team culture and strong mentorship
- Opportunity to grow with a developing team and practice
- Sydney CBD office location
