About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Principal Lawyer to take on a leadership role in establishing and growing a new full-service law firm in Victoria.
This is a unique opportunity to join as a Director of the firm, working closely with the founders to build a high-performing and reputable legal practice. You will play a key role in shaping the firm’s strategy, culture, and long-term success.
You will work across a diverse range of legal matters, including:
Criminal Law
Family Law
Litigation
Property & Conveyancing
Commercial Law
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the firm’s legal operations and day-to-day activities
Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers and support staff
Manage complex legal matters and represent clients in court
Provide practical, solutions-focused legal advice
Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, contracts and agreements
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations in Victoria
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Contribute to business development and growth strategies
Requirements
About You
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded legal professional ready to step into a leadership role.
Essential Requirements
Unrestricted practising certificate in Victoria (mandatory)
Strong experience in one or more areas: criminal, family, litigation, or property law
Proven ability to manage legal matters independently
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
