Company Overview
We sustain and enhance the quality of life in the nation’s capital. We have been part of the ACT community for over 100 years, supplying essential water and sewerage services.
Our assets are valued at around $2.4 billion and include the region’s network of dams, treatment plants, reservoirs and pumping stations. We also actively manage an investment, valued at around $1 billion, in the ActewAGL Joint Venture Partnership, which operates in the energy sector.
A major part of our role is protecting the environment. We operate one of Australia’s largest inland sewage treatment plants, returning around 80 per cent of the water Canberra uses as high quality environmental flows to the Murrumbidgee River system.
