The work

You would act predominantly for high-end developers, large landowners and long-standing council clients across a reliable pipeline of matters.

The work spans both advisory and contentious sides of planning and environment law: clear, practical advice on one hand, and contested matters, appeals and dispute resolution on the other. Working alongside the partner and senior lawyers, you would take on real responsibility while continuing to sharpen your technical expertise across a varied caseload.

Client engagement

This is a client-facing role from the outset. You would deal directly with developer, landowner and council clients, bringing the professionalism and communication skills needed to earn trust and build relationships that last beyond individual matters.

Candidate profile

• 3-5 years' legal experience, ideally within a reputable planning and environment practice
• Relevant pre-admission experience will be considered
• Strong drafting and communication skills
• A proven ability to juggle competing demands, show initiative and meet deadlines consistently
• A collaborative approach, with the ambition to build expertise within a specialist team
