A new boutique law firm is launching on the Sunshine Coast and is seeking a Senior Family Lawyer / Principal to lead and grow its Family Law practice.

This is a rare opportunity to build a practice from the ground up (with systems, structure and operational support already in place) offering the autonomy of running your own practice without the risk of starting one.

The Role
You will lead the Family Law function, working across complex, high-value matters including:

• High-conflict parenting disputes and relocation matters
• Binding Financial Agreements and asset structuring
• Spousal maintenance and urgent applications
• Litigation in the Federal Circuit and Family Court
• Family law property settlements involving trusts, companies and multi-jurisdictional assets

You’ll also play a key role in shaping the direction and growth of the practice, building strong client and referral relationships.

About You

• Senior Family Lawyer with a Principal Practising Certificate
• Strong experience advising high-net-worth clients
• Confident managing complex matters independently
• Commercial, discreet and client-focused
• Interested in building and leading a practice long-term
