Pay: $91-$109K + super (salary packaging available under the EA)
Location: Mildura (Relocation required if not already local)
Employment Type: Full-time or 0.8 FTE (35 hours per week), 9am-5pm
Tradewind Australia is currently recruiting two Specialist Family Violence Solicitors for a highly respected community legal service in Mildura.
These are genuinely impactful roles supporting victim-survivors of family violence, with the added benefit of choosing between two distinct service models - allowing you to align your work with how you want to practise law.

About the Roles
Both positions sit within a community legal centre delivering free, high-quality legal services to vulnerable members of the community.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing legal advice, casework and representation in family violence matters
- Supporting clients through intervention orders, family law and related proceedings
- Working collaboratively with social workers and community support services
- Delivering legal education and community engagement activities
- Contributing to a trauma-informed, client-centred practice
Key Differences Between the Roles
Role 1 - Integrated Family Violence Service (Health Justice Partnership)
Ideal for solicitors who enjoy working closely within a multidisciplinary, wraparound model.
- Embedded within a family violence and wellbeing team
- Work side-by-side with support workers and therapeutic practitioners
- Strong focus on holistic, long-term client outcomes
- Opportunity to be part of a Health Justice Partnership-style model
- High level of collaboration and shared case management
Role 2 - Community Legal Centre Outreach Role
Perfect for those who enjoy variety, autonomy and community engagement.
- Deliver legal services across multiple outreach locations
- Provide advice, casework and court representation
- Engage with family violence intake and referral services
- Lead community education and legal awareness initiatives
- Contribute to policy, advocacy and systemic change work
About You
To be successful in either role, you will bring:
- Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience (not suitable for graduates)
- Experience in family violence, family law or community legal settings
- A strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Confidence managing sensitive and complex client matters
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary environments
- A genuine commitment to social justice and supporting vulnerable communities
